Gorillaz – The Fall Review PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 30 December 2010

Hey! Woke up and downloaded the Fall! I reviewed it for fun, during an awesome day! Here is my opinion song by song:

Gorillaz - Revolving doors | The Fall

Phoner To Arizona – I like it. Been trying to decipher the lyrics though!

Revolving Doors – One of my favorites. I like the overlapping lyrics and the effects used in it

HillBilly Man – Cool guitar intro with some good singing from Mr. Albarn

Detroit – I love the synth effects and the intro shouting!

Shy Town – Scientific sounding, which is cool!

Little Pink Plastic Bags – Another cool one. The title reminds me of Plastic Beach. Good keyboards.

The Joplin Spider – A conversation intro. I like the tune

The Parish of Space Dust – Radio intro’s. I like the title, and the song is a good one too

The Snake in Dallas – It has a good r’n'b-ish beat and the title is clever

Amarillo – Another favorite of mine. Almost glorious sounding in my opinion!

The Speak it Mountains – Nice use of the app “Speak It!”. Good song too

Aspen Forest – It’s a cool song. I like the recordings of forest sounds being overlapped with drums and something that sounds like a Theremin

Bobby In Phoenix – Cloud of unknowing much? I like bobby womack’s voice on the song, fitting good

California & The Slipping of the Sun – All I can say is that it’s amazing!

Seattle Yodel – One big W.T.F!
